Ben Kaplan

Ben Kaplan is the founder, chairman, and former CEO of two $10M+ annual revenue companies—one in the consumer digital publishing space (Decisiv Media) with a portfolio of popular consumer websites and another in marketing tech (TOP Agency) with hundreds of global team members and clients like Microsoft, Intel, Check Point Software, and UnitedHealthcare.

Kaplan has helped 300+ startups raise VC funding as an investment trainer for global accelerator Startup Chile and later as founder of a large startup-focused consultancy.

He has also worked as a case writer at Harvard Business School, a research analyst at the National Bureau of Economic Research, a research economist at the Nasdaq Stock Market, and has won awards for his predictive model on IPO valuations. Kaplan conducted extensive quantitative and qualitative research for the Advanced Technology Program—the U.S. government’s tech transfer office.

Kaplan graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University in 1999. He is a winner of the Morris Kronfeld Prize in economics.
